At a quaint café in Lake Forest you can enjoy a taste of Paris, and legions of connoisseurs claim Rocq Cafe bakes the best macarons outside of France thanks to the culinary talents of chef/owner Eddy Rocq. With a background working in some of the finest restaurants in France, as well as in Beverly Hills, including France le Relais Saint Michel, Les Fermes de Marie, Meridien Place de la Concorde, and Hotel L’Ermitage in Beverly Hills, Rocq now runs Rocq Café serving homemade dishes at lunch and brunch.
Take a visit to the café and order delicious quiche, goat cheese salad, tri-tip, salmon or chicken panini, eggs Benedict, fresh soups and side dishes that change daily. Also, enjoy melt in your mouth heart and round shaped French macarons in an array of colors and flavors that can include rose, vanilla, mint, coconut, chocolate, lavender, salted caramel and other seasonal varieties. The not to be missed dessert choices also include mousse cakes, tarts and meringues.
Once a month, Rocq Café is open for dinner, and the next one is happening Oct. 5. Cooking classes are also available once a month.
You can call to find out about the monthly schedule and to RSVP for dinner and classes. Open 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
